How individual characteristics influence population sizes

The environment, resources, and birth rate have an influence on the population size. The way the species live in their natural habitat can affect the population. The population size would increase if the species are not threatened by other animals. If they live in a safe and comfortable environment, they would survive longer. The population size is dependent on the resources because if the resources are available when needed, then there is enough for the population. If there are less resources, it won't support the population. The birth rate also contributes to the size of the population. If there are too many babies, there wouldn't be that much resources to feed the whole population.
